Reluctant to identify with the title ‘singer-songwriter’, Scott Swain is a London based musician. Blending acoustic guitar with occasional distortion and film references a plenty.  Born in Hitchin (Hertfordshire), he has lived in Aberdeen (Scotland), Puget Sound (WA), and Australia, before moving to South London. Along the way the open road has become a familiar comfort, and the many souls who share it have allowed him to experience life, love, mystery, and whiskey. As well as playing in bands Fire and Night and How to Dress a Monster, Scott began writing and gigging as a solo artist in August 2016.

Cinema is at the forefront of the music I write. Each of my songs have been inspired by films that have left their mark on me. Musically, I draw influences from people such as Elliot Smith and Alan Sparhawk to bands like Frightened Rabbit, and Radiohead.

Scott is currently recording at Creative Control Studios and Decimal Studios, and will be releasing tracks throughout the year – so watch this space!
